Why You Need to Sharpen Your Knives and Tools!
Tools need maintenance. A dull knife, axe, or other tool isn’t just a pain to use – it’s actually more dangerous than a sharp one because dull tools require much more pressure to cut and are prone to slipping. With added pressure behind the tool, this is a recipe for disaster! You have far greater control with a sharp knife or tool.
But…Only Trust Your Knives to an Expert Sharpener
Poor sharpening can damage the edges of your best knives and tools. Knife sharpening is an art. If you value your knives and tools, then you must get them sharpened by a knife sharpening expert and artist! Custom knife maker Scott Laughlin, owner-operator of Sandstorm Knives, understands exactly how to get a razor sharp finish on your knives and tools.
Scott makes all his own custom knives – for sale at the shop and online – so he’s an expert in sharpening. In addition to making & selling custom knives, Scott also offers a sharpening service at his shop on Rama Road in Campbell River, Vancouver Island. Bring your knives and tools of all sizes here. And remember that all Sandstorm Custom Knives come with the Sandstorm Promise, which includes a lifetime warranty and free lifetime sharpening. So there’s no excuse for a dull knife!
You can also bring your knives and scissors to our Secondary Drop Off location at Campbell River’s YOUR ISLAND KITCHEN DEPOT, located at 900-12th Ave. Drop them off Wednesday and pick them up on Friday.
